I haven't been totally honest with the candidacy committee that approved my entry into seminary (and my scholarship) because I think I need to get ordained before anyone will take me seriously, but I am sure that you're right. The church has forgotten that our job is to care for Jesus' people - which means all people.

In the Bible, there is always a faithful remnant - a few who survive and carry the work of God forward. The church might get stripped down to a relative handful. If that remnant is faithful, the work of God will continue. I'm not worried.
