I was an atheist once. Then I spent twenty years examining the various different ways that people have attempted to have a relationship with the mystery of reality. I became a Christian because I felt the Spirit call me. I continue to study the Bible because I am very aware that I have only very litle understanding.

Your attempt to paint me as someone who has never examined their own beliefs is pretty far from the mark.
