Of course, there are and have been closeted gays, either Christian or not. In order to "document" whether or not any specific person was gay, one would have to provide evidence. As I said, there is no evidence here of "gay sex", only speculation based on potentially platonic relationships.

Bonhoeffer may have been gay, straight or bisexual. The odds, and the fact that he became engaged to a woman, make straight, or bi, the most reasonable guesses.

I stand by my assertion that Bonhoeffer's actions against the Nazis are, by far, more important than his sexuality.
